New Frontier is an East Kent based group of multi-instrumentalists, all now old enough to know better, who get together to play what is now generally called Americana music. Coming from diverse backgrounds, they purvey a potent potpourri of folk, blues, country, bluegrass and West Coast and Southern rock, laced with the trademark vocal harmonies. To be different, or just plain difficult, they integrate instruments less common to mainstream popular music, like banjo, mandolin, viola, piano, harmonica, etc. within the more familiar guitar, bass and percussion formula.
