On Tuesday 27 June at 7.30pm at the Barrow House pub, the Egerton Folk and Blues Club is hosting an evening of music in true fringe fashion – freestyle blues, folk, rock, classical – whatever genre feels right on the night.
The Club is open to everyone of all ages and new musicians are encouraged to join in. The evening provides a really open opportunity for novices to try out their party pieces with a friendly audience and maybe share tips with other musicians or singers. It’s also a forum for the more practised musicians to try something different, giving impromptu accompaniments to other musicians as well as strutting their stuff.
It promises to be an enjoyable, light-hearted evening. Just listen or tap your feet if you don’t perform – and maybe join in on a few chorus lines or try to play a new instrument towards the end of the evening in a “jam session” to add to the fun.
