Winners of the 2016 Cavatina Intercollegiate Chamber Music Competition, the Fitzroy Quartet were formed at the Royal Academy of Music in 2014 by 4 award winning musicians from  Italy, Spain and the UK – and  have returned to the Royal Academy as Chamber Music Fellows for the 2016/17 year.

For this concert, they will be joined by Toby Hughes, who started playing the double bass when he was 9 and is now in his third year at the Royal Northern College of Music and already performing nationally.

 

The programme will include:

Haydn, String Quartet, Op. 54 no. 2

Dvorak, String Quintet in G Major, Op.77 no. 2
